Louise Townsend's work combines photography with embroidery to create tactile, decorative bags. Her designs mainly stem from her photographs of landscapes, floral and natural images. This offers a diverse portfolio of research to inspire her collections.

Louise's bags are usually abstract in appearance using embroidered stitching and a collage of fabrics, sometimes incorporating beading. She often manipulates her photographs through computer aided design (CAD), to add hints of original inspiration in the final bag design.

Fabrics used include silks and velvets, other tactile effects such as knitted pieces and the CAD images. The bags are luxurious and unique due to the individual stitching and working of fabrics, a joy to use for all occasions.
